Description

Greetings Members of the First Nations Health Directors Association,

Please join us for the 2019 FNHDA Annual General Meeting and Conference hosted on T’Kemlups te Secwepemc traditional territory on September 25, 26, and 27, 2019 at the Sun Peaks Resort in the Interior Region.

The theme of this year’s Conference is ‘Healthy is the New Wealthy.’ This reflects the First Nations traditional and holistic view of health and self-care, and our journey to achieve balance in our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. When our mind, body, emotions, and spirit are cared for and in balance, we are able to grow, heal, and enjoy the highest level of health and wellness.

The ‘Healthy is the New Wealthy’ theme offers fun and energizing ways to support the wellness of our minds, bodies, emotions, and spirits. It will be woven throughout the agenda and will include wellness activities and entertainment, along with breakout streams focused on: Training, Technical Advice Process, Head to Heart, and Mentorship. In addition we will have our regular Association business; such as:

  • Annual General Meeting
  • FNHDA Board of Director Elections
  • Keynote Presentations
  • Inspiration Awards
  • Networking Activities

The purpose of our AGM is to comply with legal requirements under the BC Societies Act, and report back to members by sharing presentations of the FNHDA annual report, financial report, and any special resolutions for review and approval by members.
