Pre-Caucus - FNHDA Mentorship Circle Dinner for Health Directors:
We would like to invite all FNHDA members from the Vancouver Coastal region to join us for a FNHDA Mentorship Circle Dinner taking place on May 29, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. This is an opportunity to connect with your peers, to seek and offer support, and for us to stay well and balanced together.

Day 1 - First Nations Health Authority (FNHA)/ First Nations Health Directors Association (FNHDA) Day:
The FNHA and FNHDA would like to invite all members of the FNHDA to attend the FNHA/FNHDA Day as we work in Partnership towards Quality Health Services. Please join us for this interactive engagement to hear about the efforts and transformation that has taken place to date and the important work that lies ahead.

Day 2 and 3 - First Nations Health Council (FNHC) Day:
Day 2 and 3 will be the First Nations Health Council (FNHC) Days. This will be a continuation of the work that began at the Fall 2016 Regional Caucus around engagement and planning with First Nations on the social determinants of health. The FNHC days will focus on children and family well-being with an emphasis on early years. We will have the opportunity to welcome federal departments to engage directly with First Nations on key issues that impact health, including:

  • Reforming the First Nation Children and Family Services Program (Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada)
  • Developing an Indigenous Early Learning and Child Care Framework (Employment and Social Development Canada)
  • Developing a National Poverty Reduction Strategy (Employment and Social Development Canada)
