WEEK 1: MARCH 13-17
Just Add Water- Primary (Grade K-2) $190 (FULL)
Join us for a week of wet, wild, wonderful water science! We’ll be exploring oceans, lakes, and rivers; sinking, floating, melting, and flowing. Experiment with buoyancy, move water with the power of static electricity, and learn about some of the creatures that live in the deep (not to mention the tiny organisms that exist in only a drop of water!) From evaporation to precipitation, we’ve got the science of H2O covered!
Build It; Break It! - Intermediate (Grade 3-7) $190 (FULL)
Embrace your creativity and imagination with the process of engineering during this week of building and destroying! Campers will be presented with different design-build projects, challenging them to work collaboratively to conceptualize, plan, and build in response to specific design problems. From bridges to KEVA plank towers to insect mazes, natural structures, and more, we’ll be exploring building of all kinds. And for even more fun—we’ll undo it all by learning the science of demolition!
WEEK 2: MARCH 20-24
Through the Looking Glass - Primary (Grade K-2) $190 (FULL)
“Curiouser and curiouser” about the science behind the imaginary world of Wonderland? Fall down the rabbit hole into a week filled with magic and wonder. How long would it take to fall all the way through the Earth, and what forces are involved? Disappear and reappear with the Cheshire Cat, shrink and grow, learn about reversal and inversion with mirrors, and be amazed by many other experiments based on the classic story of Alice and her adventures. Don’t be late for this very important date!
Kitchen Science - Intermediate (Grade 3-7) $190 (FULL)
Ever been told not to play with your food? Join us as we not only play with our food, but experiment with it, learn about it, and maybe even eat some of it too! Cooking is made up entirely of scientific concepts, and we’ll be spending this week uncovering the science involved in food, recipe building, cooking, and baking, and doing cool experiments using things you’d find at home. Learn some basic food preparation and cooking skills, and put ingredients together to create something new, Chopped-style! Who needs a science lab when you have your own kitchen?
