Conflict Management and Communication Challenges in Professional Practice

In this workshop issues related to conflict management and communication challenges will be discussed. In particular participants will be able to understand their own conflict management style and better understand their own style and how to resolve issues in different situations. An examination of sources of conflict will be discussed, including the recognition that at times conflict can be beneficial for individuals and organizations. Furthermore, at its core conflict commences with miscommunication and during the workshop participants will explore sources of miscommunication and methods to overcome and avoid future difficulties.


Jason Perepelkin is currently an Associate Professor of Social and Administrative Pharmacy where he teaches in the area of pharmacy management, policy, and marketing for pharmacists. His research focuses on a variety of management issues with his most recent study being on the feasibility of providing a meditation program in a community pharmacy for patients with anxiety and depression.
