The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) invites you to attend a national event on the future of the Internet in Canada.
The Canadian Internet Forum (CIF) will take place in Ottawa on February 27, 2012, and will include a discussion on the results of this online consultation with Canadians about Internet governance. The event will also feature sessions for participants to provide their feedback and views on Internet governance. A panel of leading Canadian and international Internet experts will discuss the future of the Internet in Canada and around the world. A well-known Canadian technology thinker will deliver a keynote address.
If you are unable to attend the event in Ottawa, it will also be webcast. Details are available at the tab above. Individuals who plan to participate via webcast do not need to register for the event.
The output of the CIF will be a white paper for presentation to the international Internet Governance Forum (IGF), a United Nations entity where nations, the private sector and non-governmental organizations convene to discuss Internet-related issues.
