The CAESR-Tech and CREATE ME2 teams would like to invite you to One Canada, Electrochemical Energy Storage Research Series: Redox Flow Batteries workshop on February 22nd 8AM – 5PM at the Alberta Room (#102D), Dining Centre, 124 University Gate NW Calgary, Alberta.

 

This workshop will provide a forum for academic and industrial peers to exchange experiences, best practices, and ideas related to current and emerging issues associated to this emerging energy storage technology. The workshop will review the research, development & deployment of Redox Flow Batteries (RFBs) for medium / large-scale energy grid storage in Canada. The objectives of this workshop are to:

 

  • Share knowledge of status, new directions, advantages, and challenges of redox flow battery (RFB) technology,

     

  • Place RFB technology into the context of energy storage in Canada and related to international efforts,

     

  • Develop a network of researchers and industry/government partners interested in RFB technology

 

Our keynote speaker is Dr. Vincent L. Sprenkle, Chief Engineer – Electrochemical Energy Storage and Conversion – Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL).

 

The deadline for workshop registration is Monday, February 19th, 2018.
