On September 30, 2006, the Ontario Government made regulatory changes that altered confined space entry procedures and program requirements for Ontario workplaces. Among the many new requirements is a duty to ensure that employees are trained in confined space entry and rescue procedures by an instructor having “adequate knowledge, training and experience” in the subject area. This course is designed to provide employees with the basic knowledge and skills they require to perform confined space entry and extractions in a variety of low to medium hazard environments.

Intended Audience
Any personnel required to enter confined spaces, act as standby attendants, or perform basic emergency extractions. Supervisors of personnel who enter confined spaces. OHS Specialists.
